So, are you being alert enough all this while about what you eat whether it's halal or not? Or you just take things easy, thinking everything is going to be okay. Maybe you just ignore it and wishing it will go away so you can sleep well all through the night. Well, my friends...one thing for sure it is always at the back of your head. You just don't want to think about it, you just telling yourself it's nothing. All the food I take is Halal!

Hmm...sometimes, it's much easier if we just choose to eat only fish or eggs right? Or maybe just vegetables because it's halal and you don't have to worry about anything else anymore. But for how long? After a day or two, you start looking for chicken, beef etc... Then you starts to wonder again, whether it's slaughtered according to the Islamic law... Somehow, your mind will still be curious, wondering whether it's halal or not. You can always ignore it and just eat it whatever you like. But those thought that always haunting you, "Am I taking prohibited food?, it's unlawful food but why do I still eat it? ...the gelatin is produce from pig fats, derived from pig bones! Did I eat the pig fats all these years?" Oh God Almighty!

What about desserts? Ever wonder whether it's halal or not? I must say this my friends, 90% of ingredients in any desserts, used GELATIN. And most of the gelatin are made from pigs and if it's from a cow, it is unsure whether it's been slaughtered according to Islamic law or not. The productions of cakes, puddings, ice cream, jelly, frozen salad, chocolates, gums and many-many more delicious desserts, used GELATIN FROM PIGS because it's a lot cheaper from cow!!!

Many, especially in the Western world, are still unsure what constitutes a Halal food. Halal translates to lawful or legal and is, at its most simple, a term that is assigned to any action that is permissible under Islamic law. The term is extended to food to denote all foods that are consumable under Islamic law, much in the same way that the Kashrut denotes what foods a member of the Jewish faith can eat.

While the term is used widely throughout Islamic countries to denote any illegal activity under Islamic law, it has become synonymous with food in the West. The laws in relation to Halal foods are actually quite complex, and do not simply relate to the method in which the animal is slaughtered, as many believe.

There are a number of foods which Muslims can't eat under the Halal guidelines according to the Qur'an. These include;

- Pork
- Blood
- Animals not slaughtered in the name of Allah
- Carrion
- Animals that have been killed by methods such as strangulation, beating or attack by another animal
- Alcohol and other intoxicants

While these rules are strictly upheld in many Muslim societies, The Qur'an also states that when in a position where no other food is available, a Muslim may eat non-Halal food.

The main focus of many people on the Halal laws in regards to food is the slaughtering method. This relates most directly to the consumption of blood, as the method of slaughter is intended to prevent this.

The method of slaughter is known as Dhabiha, and is essentially a ritual slaughter of an animal that makes it legal for Muslim consumption. The ritual disregards fish, and most other sea-life, relating mostly to cattle and other animals bred on land for slaughter.

The method itself consists of a fast and deep incision with a sharp knife on the neck of the animal, cutting both the jugular vein and carotid arteries, while keeping the spinal cord intact. This causes instant death to the animal in question, killing it painlessly. A blessing in the name of Allah is made on the animal, and thus the food becomes Halal, or legal to eat.

People's view on Halal foods take many forms. Strict Muslims insist that the blessing in the name of Allah is a hugely important part of the process, and food is not legal for consumption without it. Other Muslims are more lenient in this regard, feeling willing to eat any meat as long as all the blood has been drained from the carcass.

The issue is a contentious one amongst many Muslims, as is the issue between the similarities between Kosher foods and Halal foods. Debate still rages on whether Kashrut standards are interchangeable with Halal standards, with the main sticking point being the blessing made in the name of Allah.

All of the frozen foods supplied by any good halal frozen food distributor adhere to the Halal standards above, however this is not all that worries many consumers of Halal goods in a Western society. It is becoming more and more difficult to prevent cross-contamination with non-halal foods, such as Pork, in many restaurants and food vendors throughout the country. Many suppliers that claim to offer both Halal and non-halal foods may in fact put their Halal products in close proximity to pork products, thus making it non-halal.

One common thread among most mlm businesses is that you must be able to duplicate yourself to grow your business. In a traditional job, you trade your time at work for money in return for that work. The only way to increase the money you earn then is to increase the number of hours you work, or convince your employer to raise your level of pay.

Networking, however, frees you from such problems. As you increase the number of people working with you in your downline, you also increase the number of hours worked in the business because not only do you get paid for your efforts, but for theirs as well. This is leveraging your time.

For instance, you start your own Network Marketing business and begin by investing ten hours per week into your business. You introduce your business system to A and begin working with him. He also puts ten hours a week into his business. You now have 20 hours per week working on your behalf, although you are only putting in ten hours yourself.

A recession by definition: is a period of reduced economic activity. Inevitably, in a recession there are less available jobs and job markets are highly competitive. Currently, companies are down sizing and there have been layoffs from an array of corporations such as; General Motors, DHL and Fed Ex Kinko; just to name a few.

Individuals that are open-minded and are willing to pursue career paths outside of Corporate America are perhaps more likely to be successful in a mlm downline. With that in mind, everyone isn’t suitable to be a recruiter for mlm downline. There are numerous alleged success stories from individuals that have climbed the ladder in mlm and have become millionaires. Their stories often inspire others to sign-up to recruit. However, it is also true that many fail to carry out the commitment of recruiting. It is one thing to be inspired by someone’s testimony but realizing the requirement for consistent dedication of the recruiting is another.

The concept of mlm is relatively simple. Recruit a certain number of people to sign up with the program, those people then need to recruit others and so on and so forth. The idea behind mlm is that the chain reaction will continue thus; allowing one to acquire residual income. A selling point of mlm is that there are only a small number of people you need to recruit before you reap the benefits of residual income. Other ideas behind mlm is being an entrepreneur, building your own wealth and being able to retire sooner.

How is recruiting for mlm different in a recession? People are generally skeptical about mlm. Typically, because people were taught “if it sound too good to be true then it probably is”. More often then not, mlm programs are associated with pyramid schemes which are a red flag for many, especially when it comes to investing start-up money. Nonetheless, as a result of a slowing economy and a 6.7% unemployment rate (November 2008), presumably more and more people will be receptive to the idea of mlm. Clearly, people have a different mindset in a recession; many have a higher level of urgency and desperation. The obvious is “bills” and other financial obligations that don’t stop coming in a recession. We are all still responsible and most of us would like to enjoy the same type of lifestyle that we have grown accustom too. Some may see mlm as light at the end of a dark tunnel; hope. Many workers have received pay cuts as a result of their employers attempting to cut cost in an effort to stay afloat. To some mlm could be a means to gain more discretionary income. Controversy, for the most part in a recession discretionary income is less and this could prevent many from being able to invest financially in an mlm down line. There is a great deal of fear centering around the idea of mlm as well as the current recession. Will fear lead more people toward recruiting for mlm downlines or is there still much skeptiscm?

Understanding MLM

Do we really understand what is MLM? Many of us involved in this business but do we really understand what is MLM. MLM is Multi Level Marketing. MLM also known as Network Marketing

What if you found a great product or service and you loved it so much you decided to go into business marketing it?
You earn a small commission for the ongoing purchases of those you refer to this product or service, so you could make a little money selling it yourself, right?
And, what if the company was willing to pay you to develop a team of others who each sell a little of the product and find others to do the same?
So, you would also be paid a small commission when you introduce this concept to others, and they refer people.
Pretty ingenious, huh?
And, the best part is that this concept can create true, passive, residual income for you and your family. And, you can touch the lives of hundreds and even thousands of other people.
Many people just don't understand the concept of Network Marketing. Let me explain the way this works and then think about this a little as you evaluate your options within our industry, or, as you explain the concept to others.
The concept of Network Marketing consists of three major components.
TIME LEVERAGE; RESIDUAL INCOME; SYSTEM OF DUPLICATION

Time Leverage
This is the ability to get paid month after month on the work that you do one time.
A good analogy that you are already familiar with is the franchising industry. In franchising, the franchisee, or one who purchases the rights to do business using a well-known business name such as McDonald's, pays a royalty fee every month to the franchiser, or parent company. It's always a percentage of the profits earned.
The parent company, or McDonald's, has incredible time leverage. The more McDonald's stores they have around the world, the more money they make.
But, the parent company certainly doesn't do all of the work. If they have 5,000 stores, each open 18 hours a day, 90,000 hours are worked daily on their behalf.
The concept works in much the same way with our business system, except you don't have to pay a royalty fee each month!
For instance, let's say you start your own Network Marketing business and begin by investing five hours per week into your business. You introduce your business system to Mike and begin working with him. He also puts five hours a week into his business. You now have 10 hours per week working on your behalf, although you are only putting in five hours yourself.
If you and Mike each bring in a new partner, who each commit to five hours, you will soon be benefiting from 20 hours per week. Remember, your actual time involvement is only five hours each week.
By the end of the first month, you have forty hours each week working on your behalf. At the end of the second month, over 640 hours will be invested into your business each week, but not all by you. You are only putting in five.
Do you see the beauty of time leverage?
In network marketing, we are paid for opening "outlets" and teaching those "outlets" to be successful.
And, remember, franchising was thought to be a scam in the '70s, when it first began.
Now, let's talk about residual income.

Residual income
This is the ability to get paid over and over for the work that you do one time. It's also called "royalty pay."
There are very few businesses or industries today that pay residual income.
Musicians, authors and insurance sales people are a few professions that do earn a residual income.
If you were to write or record a popular song, each time that song played on the radio, or a CD was sold, you would receive a commission, or royalty payment.
Residual income in Network Marketing is income you continue to earn based on efforts you put forth initially. This income is based on the sale of products and services. And, these products must continue to generate repeat sales.
This is one reason why "consumable" products are the most effective in Network Marketing. Consumable products are those items that are bought, used up and then replaced, over and over again.
If you are marketing a product that is a one time purchase product, you will have a harder time generating residual income.
Residual income is desirable in Network Marketing, because this is what allows you to put forth a lot of effort in the beginning, and reap the rewards of that for months and years to come!
And, by building an organization of people working toward a common goal, you can ensure a strong residual pay-out that will last for years. This is why it is important that you understand this pay advantage, and invest your effort, energy and time in other people.
Earning residual income requires a few things - first that you take action to get momentum going in your organization.
Second, you continue building on that momentum, and teach others to do the same.
Finally, you learn and develop leadership skills that will provide the foundation that supports your entire organization.
People follow people, and leadership skills are developed. Leaders are created, not necessarily born.
In the beginning, you have the "privilege" of working lots of hours for a little pay. In the end, you have the "joy" of working little hours for lots of pay.
People ask me all of the time how much I made my first month in the business. The answer is - "I don't know. I don't know because I still get paid each and every month on the efforts I put into that very first month." That's the power of residual income!
Get started and then build on your efforts each and every month. Be a leader of others and watch the residual income roll in.

Duplication and Geometric Growth
Finally, we are at DUPLICATION AND GEOMETRIC GROWTH.
Another exciting concept, and probably the most exciting concept!
Have you heard the "Penny a Day" story? This is a good illustration to get you thinking about the power of this geometric growth.
Let's say you start on the 1st day of the month with 1 penny in your bank account. Now, you are going to double it every day for the rest of the month.
Any guess about how much you will have in your account on day 30, or, day 31?
Well, here you go -
Day 1 - 1 cent

Day 2 - 2 cents

Day 3 - 4 cents

Day 7 - 64 cents (hmmmm)

Day 14 - $81.92 (getting a little more interesting)

Day 21 - $10,485.76 (getting A LOT more interesting!)

Day 30 - $5,368,708 (I'm definitely interested!)

and you can do the math on Day 31!!

See the power of geometric growth and duplication?
Duplicating yourself means teaching someone else to do what you do. When the two of you each teach another person, you duplicate it again, only twice. And so on, and so on, and so on!
Now, I am not trying to say your business will grow like that daily. But, what if it followed this pattern over a 5 year time span?
Network Marketing success (I mean six figure incomes) typically take two to five years to grow. Plan on that!
